Early in 2013, Todd Crosland founded his new company, Seed Equity Ventures. Seed Equity is a broker dealer that focuses on raising capital for startups all over the world. They are registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. They are also members of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as well as the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).

Seed Equity Ventures is a broker dealer that provides venture capital to startups and growth companies from around the world.  Companies who are registered with Seed Equity have small amounts of their equity sold to multiple investors. In the US, this has become a very popular method for startups to gain capital in their early stages of development.

Seed Equity Ventures is different than its counterparts because it doesn’t only focus on the typical areas or sectors dominated by today’s start up industry. Typically, early entrepreneurs who know the right people can obtain funding, and that is only if they match their VC or Angel Investors criteria. This limits the supply of potential startups to a fortunate few who have had the fortune to know the right people and obtain guidance.
